Gretchen M. Baker has lived for nineteen years in Baker, Nevada. She is an ecologist at Great Basin National Park, and previously worked at six other national park service areas. She and her husband reside with their two children on a ranch in Snake Valley and count the mountain ranges they cross whenever they go anywhere.
Things most people don't know about Gretchen:
* She has a fly named after her
* She plays the trumpet, recorder, piano, and accordion
* She held an obscure world record for her age group in rope climbing (this was broken in 2016 at the Ely, Nevada NSS Convention!)
* She has a video on You Tube with almost a million views
